KONST Bags $30M From ADATA To Expand AI Data Centers Across Asia
KONST raised a $30 million Series B funding round led by ADATA Technology on Friday to expand its AI Data center footprint across Asia, the company said.
Key Takeaways
- KONST raised a $30 million Series B round led by ADATA Technology on Friday
- The funding will support new data center capacity and KONST’s token factory strategy
- ADATA Technology is a Taiwan-listed memory and storage hardware maker
- KONST did not disclose current GPU capacity or committed data center sites tied to the new capital
KONST, a Taiwan-based AI compute operator, announced the round will fund new data center capacity and advance what it calls a “token factory” strategy. A token factory, in industry usage, refers to a facility purpose-built to generate AI model outputs, called tokens, at scale for paying customers rather than running one company’s internal workloads.
ADATA Technology, a Taiwan-listed memory and storage hardware maker, led the investment, putting a hardware supplier directly into the capital stack of a compute operator it may eventually sell components to.
The deal lands amid a broader scramble among regional players to secure AI infrastructure capacity as demand for inference, the process of running a trained AI model to generate answers rather than train it, continues to outstrip available data center space in several Asian markets.

Why Regional AI Data Compute Capacity Has Become A Funding Magnet
Much of the global conversation about AI infrastructure has centered on U.S. hyperscalers and their multi-billion-dollar chip commitments.
Smaller regional operators like KONST are pursuing a different model, building out capacity specifically to resell as a service to AI developers who cannot secure allocation from larger American cloud providers. That gap has widened as GPU rental prices have climbed despite new chip releases elsewhere in the market this month.
The Capital Stack Behind Asia’s Compute Build-Out
KONST’s round follows a pattern seen across the region in 2026, where hardware suppliers and compute operators increasingly cross-invest to lock in long-term supply relationships.
The company did not disclose current GPU capacity or committed data center sites tied to the new capital.
